The distortion and bending stresses are reduced by using the thick-walled outer ring so it is easily adjusted to high radial loads.

The main purpose of track rollers bearings is used to follow the surface of a cam, support linear motion components or laterally locating components during linear movement. The very important factors of track rollers bearings are loads, speeds, misalignment, installation, and lubrication. The crowned outer ring running is used to identify where edge stresses need to be minimized.  If the stresses are avoided then it automatically improves the service life of rollers.
